What families have said:
“I really appreciate what you’re doing, it really means a lot to me, I honestly can’t thank you enough”
“Thank you 🙂 you’ve been a massive help”
“Thank you so much for sending the email. You have addressed every single concern and I appreciate this greatly. This means a lot and I thank you once again.”
“Many thanks for the email. It was good to speak to you yesterday. I really appreciate your support.”
“Thank you for your time earlier today, it was really helpful and reassuring.”
“Thanks again. We both very much appreciate your intervention. Your intervention on our behalf has boosted us considerably.”
“Thank you for your support. I’m so appreciative of all you do for me. I cannot stress how wonderful you are too, especially dealing with officialdom, I don’t know what I would do without you.”
“Many thanks for everything you have done for me this year with interminable energy, empathy and tenacity. It has been such a relief to have ‘someone on my side’ during a difficult year with hurdles at every stage.”
“Thank you so much. It was great to talk to you earlier – I am so pleased (and relieved) that I came across your site. I am very grateful for your assistance and expertise.”
“I really can’t thank you enough for all your help and support and I hope you know how grateful I am and how much I have appreciated it. I was really desperate when I found your website and I am sure that I would not have found the courage and momentum to write all those letters if you hadn’t inspired me. I didn’t think there were such genuine and compassionate people like you around and I wish you the very best in everything you do in the future. Once again many, many, thanks.”
“You have helped me so much and I really appreciate it. Thanks ever so much”
“It was really good to talk to someone who understands… Thank you so much for your help and interest. It has made me feel so much better.”
“Me and my family feel like Hundred Families is the only support we have at this moment, however we are determined and willing to take this all the way…Thank you for all your help.”
“I have learned such a lot from you in such a short time. I feel confident and strong for Thursday and especially with you by my side supporting me.”
“I think the feedback you have provided is brilliant because it really captures the precise points I am seeking to make. Your help is very much appreciated and very helpful indeed we cannot thank you enough.”
“We all appreciate your willingness to help so much, it has definitely brought us much comfort within these difficult circumstances.”
“A big thanks from us all; the information that you gave us to include in the letter that we sent to the inspectorate was, I’m sure, instrumental in them agreeing to the review.”
“Would just like to thank you for your kind words that I found very helpful. Seeing as you know how I feel that makes a massive difference…once again, thank you.”
“I would like to commend you on a wonderful website. It’s hard reading the stories but it helps to see we are not alone.”
“Nice to be able to talk to someone who understands”
“I know your battle has been long and uphill but it is worthy. You will be helping many families both in a practical way and in raising awareness of these issues.”
“Thank you so much for your time earlier…. The last 21 months have been such a struggle and it feels, for the first time, that we are not alone.”
“I have been quite overwhelmed by the information and conversation over the past 24 hours between us. It feels like I have just learnt to read, as you say, the sort of information we have been trying to collate is very difficult to come by, and finding your website has been hugely beneficial to me, thank you.”
“Thank you so much for your help. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to look into this.”
“Thank you so much for a very interesting and informative insight into the report. Having never read a report as this before it is difficult to take in and absorb especially when it concerned mum. We as a family had discussed the report and each made notes etc. However, your input shed a different light on it and allowed us to look at it from a different perspective. We are very grateful.”
I speak as somebody with a mental health issue, yes I do agree that something should be done about the violent behavior that sufferers of mental health problems use against the public. But that public also includes other mental health sufferers – yes we get attacked and suffer threats and constantly fear the more violent members of our community. But how many times do these attacks are ‘smoothed away’ sometimes because the law perceives that somebody with a mental health issue, is unable to represent themselves in a court of law or will simply dismiss that type of victim is untrustworthy, despite a lot of the times, physical evidence.
Sadly too many times – and the staff of mental health units are more likely to ‘sweep attacks under the carpet’ simply because it’s the easiest thing to do. Rather than employ more clinicians over management and administrative staff. And again this is sadly the problem Mental Health Unit Budgets go more on Managers and Administrative staff than Clinicians and violent attacks and murders will conutine to RISE until the ratio of Clinicians is increased and Managers and Admin staff are cut dramatically back.
Having lost my daughter and grandsons on March 6th March 2021 by a deliberate fire.
I’m devastated and so upset that no one suspected or saw this coming.
Missing them so much.
